China (Where the old seize the day)
I travel for a lot of reasons. I love older places rich in history, but every time I get my fill of museums, castles, old pubs etc, it always comes down to what the people who live there are like which sparks my memories of the trip itself.
I applied for a visa and traveled to China to see if the Cormorant fishermen were still out there doing what they had always done historically now that newer technologies were available.
They were very old, but top my delight were still there.That was AMAZING..but I came home with an unexpected favorite memory.. It was there vitality of the older generation and their appoach to life, fitness, health and community..This short little video can help explain bette,. I hope.

Harbor Freight 100 watt solar panel (Not so bad)
Переглядів 6426 місяців тому
There is a lot of junk at Harbor Freight, but are some things at that are too good to pass up. The 100 watt panels range from @$100 - 140 depending of sales, deals promos etc..but a 100 watt panel pulling 97 watts is worth mentioning. Along with the class of Predator generators, this to me at least is a great buy

The car plug adapter, which fed into the 65 V connector to the ecoflow fried for some reason even only with 200 W coming in so I pulled out a marine battery and have also pulled an inverter 400 and the white inverter from Harbor freight along with an LED panel to at least band aid the situation, but I’m running into an issue when the charging just stops and begins continuously. Exactly! He made a dog. Why? He made a dog to show us people what true unconditional love is. Unfortunately He failed. So many people have not learned anything about love, let alone compassion, understanding, loyalty. We dog lovers we thank Him for this precious gift from Heaven that is making our life here worth living thanks to a dog.

      Well said. Although so many are increasingly closed off to the idea of God, they (dogs in my life) represent everything you describe so well in regards to unconditional love keep and it simply me sane. People have seem to have lost that part of themselves for the most part but I always try my best to acknowledge the gifts like this and that’s where this video came from is all..

    Skip the inverter all together. Make an XT60 adapter that can connect to your 12v Battery to that yellow plug on the back. Or plug the panel right into the yellow plug (don't exceed the ratings on the back). How was it all connected when it "fried"?

      Not sure what happened because it’s the way I always have done it in the past but for some reason the car adapter, which is the only adapter I have that comes out of the ecoflow to the solar panels just fried for some reason. I only had 200 W coming in and the load should have not been too hot. But I like your idea and when I get back into civilization, I might bring the whole thing back and try what you suggested. Thanks for chiming in. I appreciate it.

    • @bearlylivable
      @bearlylivable Рік тому

      I would definitely contact the cubic mini stove people. That should not happen at all. You may need to eventually pull that pipe to help clean the flue anyway and sealing it with calk would be a pain to take off, clean and reapply. They are good people from my dealings with them so far. I would think they would replace the part that is leaking. You also don’t need any excess C02 which could get dangerous. The bottom section of the flue should snug on perfectly.

    • @bearlylivable
      @bearlylivable Рік тому

      …..but in the meantime while we are in winter you may need a temporary fix until they help you right now..if so, there is this silver tape you can buy at HD or Lowe’s that will seal it. CMWS is an excellent company that wants to make sure that people are as safe as possible in any situation, so I don’t doubt that their safety measures are written with the best of intentions. However, it is nearly impossible to build a house that is truly air tight and leakage even in well-insulated homes will provide more than enough fresh, oxygenated air to replace the air used by one of their stoves. Also, we all learned in physics class that heat rises, so there is little chance of anything under the level of the stove becoming hot enough to combust. My stove is on a wooden platform and even when it is at its hottest, the wood underneath is still cool enough to touch.

      It cleans pretty easy with normal glass cleaners or even water, but when I get it real hot it just burns off. At least most of it does. You may still have a little left around the corners

    I found your channel because of your Cubic Mini Stove video. Stayed around because my goal is to buy and build a something similar in northern Idaho.

      Your timing may be great as I’m guessing property value should dip this fall and normalize somewhat. It’s gotten a bit crazy the last 2 years, especially near Yellowstone Good luck. Try to find a south facing building spot and with mature trees. Really helps in the winter and keeps the wind at bay.
